Requirement to provide data: To finalize a booking, providing your name, contact details, and payment info is a contractual requirement. Failure to provide this data means we cannot process your reservation. Additionally, providing a valid ID at check-in is a statutory requirement in the Netherlands.
3. Data Retention Periods
We do not store your data longer than necessary. Specific criteria include:
- Financial & Tax Records: 7 years, as required by Dutch tax law (Rijksbelastingdienst).
- Guest Register (Nachtregister): Retained in accordance with local municipal ordinances (typically 7 years for tax/police audit purposes).
- Marketing Data: Retained until you withdraw consent (unsubscribe).
- Analytics Data: GA4 data is set to expire after 14 months of inactivity.
4. Tracking, Profiling, and Cookies
Our website uses Google Tag Manager to deploy:
- Google Analytics 4 (GA4): To analyze behavior. We use IP anonymization to protect your identity.
- Google Ads & Meta Pixel: To measure ad effectiveness.
- Automated Decision-Making: We do not use automated profiling that results in legal effects for you. However, tracking technologies may use “profiling” to show you relevant ads based on your interests. You can opt out via our cookie banner.

- Mews: Our Property Management System (PMS) for reservations.
- NitroPack: For website speed optimization.
- Payment Providers: Secure processing of transactions.
- Google/Meta: For analytics and advertising (utilizing Standard Contractual Clauses for transfers outside the EEA).

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights:
- Access/Rectification: View or correct your data.
- Erasure (“Right to be Forgotten”): Request deletion (unless legal retention applies).
- Portability: Receive your data in a machine-readable format.
- Withdrawal: Revoke consent for cookies or marketing at any time.
